The Benevolent Society of the Russian Orthodox Parish Association of Archangel Michael Church in Cannes Meets
On September 29, 2010, in Moscow, a meeting was of the Benevolent Society of the Russian Orthodox Parish Association of Archangel Michael Church of Cannes, France, was held.
Participating in the meeting were the members of the Association and the Benevolent Society: His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia; Priest Maksim Massalitine, Rector of Archangel Michael Church and President of the Association; Protopriest Serafim Gan, Secretary of the First Hierarch and Rector of St Seraphim Church in Sea Cliff, NY; Protopriest Peter Holodny; Archimandrite Ieronim (Shurygin), Rector of Holy Trinity Monastery in Alatyr; Hegumen Vasily (Pasquiet), Prior of Holy Trinity Monastery in Cheboksar; Andrei Molchanov, President of the Council of the Federation’s Committee on the Commonwealth of Independent States; Valery Shevchuk, President of the Moskomnasledie [“Moscow Monuments Commission”]; Igor Protsenko, Head of the Federal Agency on Administration and Use of Monuments of History and Culture; Maxim Khrabrykh, also of Moskomnasledie; along with other invited guests, including Hegumen Sofrony (Dubrovin), member of the Association and Dean of Holy Trinity Monastery in Alatyr; Protopriest Leonid Kalinin, Rector of the Church of the Holy Hiermartyr Kliment, Pope of Rome; Andrei Ivliev, Honorary Member of the Association and Director-General of the restoration-construction concern Vozrozhdenie [“Rebirth”], and Boris Gavrilenko, member of the Association.
