To His Grace Bishop Evtikhy of Domodedovo
Vicar of the Moscow Diocese
Your Grace!
I send you heartfelt greetings on your 55th birthday.
In your youth, having chosen to labor in the harvest-fields of Christ, you dedicated your talents to monastic labors and spiritual pastorship. This path was difficult and demanding, but by the will of the Holy Spirit, you were able to serve the triumph of canonical truth and become a direct participant of one of the most important events in the recent history of Russian Orthodoxy..
As a participant in the discussions between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, through your efforts, prayers and personal example, you made a weighty contribution to this God-pleasing matter. The signing of the Act of Canonical Communion became the basis for the reestablishment of unity within the Russian Church, and marked a new era in the life of the Russian people and the entire Orthodox world.
In recognition of your efforts towards reestablishing church unity, and to mark your 55th birthday, I deem it proper to honor you with the Second Order of St Sergius of Radonezh
Accept my genuine greetings and good wishes for spiritual and physical health, tireless patience, grace-filled and bountiful help from the Lord in your duties of serving His Holy Church.
With love in Christ,
+KIRILL, PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
