Holy Trinity Monastery and Seminary Mark the Second Anniversary of the Repose of Metropolitan Laurus
Two years ago, on March 16, 2008, Metropolitan Laurus, the abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery and First Hierarch of the Russian Church Outside of Russia, reposed in the Lord. To mark Tuesday’s anniversary, Archimandrite Luke, the clergy of Holy Trinity Monastery, professors and students of the Holy Trinity Seminary, and the surrounding faithful served a pannikhida for the ever-memorable Archpastor at his tomb below the monastery cathedral. Before the service, Fr Luke spoke about the Metropolitan’s life, emphasizing that His Eminence always put personal spiritual growth above all else, a characteristic of all the saints.
