On April 8, 2010, at 6 pm, Invited are clergymen and laity of ROCOR and the Moscow Patriarchate, members of the International Nobility Association, journalists, Orthodox Christian poets, writers and public figures, as well as those who knew and revered Metropolitan Laurus personally. During the event, a CD of songs performed by the International and All-Russian Laureate, Anna Abikulova (St Petersburg), written to the lyrics of Monk Vsevolod, Svjatoje umenije [“Holy Ability”], dedicated to Metropolitan Laurus, will be presented, as well as the recording of Pesni Russkogo Zarubezhija [“Songs of the Russian Diaspora”], part of S. Kuznetsov’s project S ljubovju k Rossii [“With Love for Russia”]. Songs devoted to the memory of the late hierarch will also be sung by International Laureate Stanislav Bartenev, and the composers Evgenia Fokina and Fr Gennady (Ulyanich) of Tver’. Monk Vsevolod and the Sergei Kuznetsov, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Bolshoi Vashington [“Great Washington”], will host the event. Admission is free.
