Bishop Daniel of Erie Reposes In the Lord
On the morning of April 26, 2010, at the age of 79, His Grace Bishop Daniel of Erie, Vicar of the President of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia for the Old Believer Community, reposed in the Lord.
In a statement published on the official website of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York, His Grace Vicar Bishop Jerome of Manhattan called upon the clergymen and laity to lift their prayers for the repose of Vladyka Daniel.
The late hierarch’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 28, on the Mid-Pentecost, in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Erie, PA. His Grace Bishop George of Mayfield will participate in the service.
