On July 3, 2010, the feast day of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco, the parish dedicated to his memory in Framingham, near Boston, MA, celebrated Divine Liturgy. The Parish Rector, Fr Vadim Pismenny, was joined in the service by Mitred Protopriest Andrei Semyanko and Protodeacon Konstantin Semyanko of Presentation of Christ Church in Stratford, CT; Hieromonk Roman (Krassovsky) and Deacon Nicholas Olhovsky of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. Praying at the church were pilgrims from various parishes: Presentation Church, Epiphany Church in Roslindale (Boston), MA and St Seraphim of Sarov Church in Sea Cliff, NY. The joint service by the clergymen and unified singing of the choir, which consisted of singers from various parishes, made the Divine Liturgy particularly ceremonious. At the end of the divine service, a procession of the cross was performed under the peal of bells. Afterwards, everyone was invited to a celebratory trapeza. This third annual feast day celebrated by the parish made a profound impression on many guests and parishioners, many of whom already expressed the wish to celebrate the memory of St John of Shanghai at the altar dedicated to him next year as well.
