On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, the feast day of the Beheading of the Honorable Head of St John the Baptist, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York. During the service, Vladyka Hilarion ordained Vladimir Barros, a subdeacon for many years, to the rank of deacon. |
