From the Editors: On Saturday, July 4, 2015, the feast day of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco the Miracle-worker, the great archpastor of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Protopriest Alexei Kotar celebrated Divine Liturgy in the very room at St Nicholas Cathedral in Seattle, WA, where the saint reposed in the Lord in 1966. St John's ascetic achievements illuminated the entire Russian diaspora. We offer our readers photographs taken by Sergy Kalfov, who served as an acolyte under the saint and who was present during his blessed death.
