St Nicholas Cathedral Parish Organizes a Children's Summer Camp

From July 19-26, 2015, the St John (Maximovich) Parish School of St Nicholas Cathedral in Seattle, WA, operated a summer camp for children in Dosewallips State Park. Sixty-two children and 15 adult volunteers participated. In addition to the locals, children from Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, America and Canada attended.

The camps included morning and evening prayers, discussions on the Law of God, sports, arts and crafts, hikes, etc. Many of the activities focused on the 1000th anniversary of the death of Holy Prince Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles. On the feast day of St Olga, the grandmother of the Baptizer of Rus, Prince Vladimir, Protopriest Alexei Kotar celebrated Divine Liturgy at the camp.
