On Friday, August 28, 2015, the great feast day of the Dormition of the Mother of God, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in New York’s Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, led by His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Vice Secretary of the Synod, and His Grace Bishop Daniel of Dragovitsa, Vicar of the Bulgarian Patriarchal Church in the USA, Canada and Australia, and His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of Moscow’s Patriarchal Parishes of the USA. They were joined by Archimandrite Simeon (Tomachinsky), Rector of Kursk Theological Seminary. After the service, Vladyka Nicholas congratulated the hierarchs, clergymen and parishioners on the Dormition holiday, and welcomed his brother archpastors, thanking them for the joy of concelebration of Liturgy, and gave them gifts in memory of the occasion. Bishop Nicholas then hosted a luncheon in honor of the lofty guests, during which the hierarchs discussed current affairs in their respective Churches in the USA.
