Sunday of Orthodoxy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady "of the Sign"
On Sunday of Orthodoxy, March 20, 2016, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady "of the Sign" in New York. He was joined by Senior Priest of the cathedral, Protopriest Andrei Sommer and the other clergymen as the choir sang under the direction of Peter Fekula.
Afterwards, His Eminence officiated at the Rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, intoned by Protodeacon Vadim Gan. The services were held in the presence of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" and the Myrrh-streaming Icon of the Mother of God "Softener of Hardened Hearts," which was brought from Moscow.
