Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral Honors Archbishop Alypy

To mark the forthcoming ninetieth birthday of His Eminence Archbishop Alypy, the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, during its July, 2016, session, decided to mark the many years of excellent church service of the elder hierarch to coincide with his namesday, August 30, the feast day of St Alypy the Icon-painter of the Kievan Caves.

His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of ROCOR, will lead divine services, to be joined by other hierarchs and clergymen. A festive luncheon will follow at the parish hall.
