Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America Presents the Newly-Consecrated Bishop Irenei During Divine Liturgy at Holy Ascension Church in Sacramento, CA

On Sunday, December 4, 2016, the feast day of the Entrance into the Temple of the Most-Pure Mother of God, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America officiated at Divine Liturgy at Holy Ascension Church in Sacramento, CA. He was joined by the newly-consecrated Bishop Irenei (Steenberg) of Sacramento, Vicar of the Western American Diocese; Protopriest Paul Volmensky, long-time Rector of Ascension Church, as well as many local clergymen of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and the Serbian Orthodox Church. At the end of the festive service, a moleben was performed “before a good work,” after which His Eminence presented Vladyka Irenei to the clergymen and flock of the parish.
