NEW YORK: April 20, 2017
His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York Sends Condolences to Igor Golubovsky, Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York, on the Death of His Father
To Igor Leonidovich Golubovsky
Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York
Esteemed and Dear Igor Leonidovich:
I hasten to express to you and your family my profound condolences and empathy on the repose of your father.
Our ancestors always believed that death during the blessed days of Passion Week and the Pascha of the Lord is a sign of the ineffable mercy of God upon the soul of the reposed. This connotes the clear inheritance of eternal life of bliss by the reposed, a sign that his life was well pleasing to God.
Praying to the Resurrected Christ for the repose of his soul, I ask Him to bless you and his family with consolation, heavenly aid, good health and joy of the Victory of Christ over death, over sin and evil.
With love in the Resurrected Lord,
+HILARION,
Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York,
First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
Pascha of Christ, 2017.
