Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia Grants Metropolitan Hilarion the Right to Wear a Second Panaghia
On July 18, 2017, the feast day of the Translation of the Relics of St Sergius of Radonezh, after Divine Liturgy at Uspensky Cathedral of Holy Trinity-St Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad, Russia, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, bestowed awards upon hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Throne Room in the Patriarchal Residence.
In recognition of the earnest archpastoral work and to mark the 45th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine was awarded a panaghia.
For his service to the Church and to mark the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Act of Canonical Communion between the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of ROCOR, was awarded the right to wear a second panaghia on the territory of the Russian Church Abroad.
