The German Diocese of the Russian Church Abroad announces the schedule of the annual Orthodox Seminar

Clergy and parishioners of the Cathedral of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia in Munich announced the schedule of the annual Orthodox Seminar (Lincolnstr. 58, 81549 München) from 26-28 December, 2023.

This is the 75th anniversary of the founding of Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville, NY, which serves as the leit-motif of this event, specifically the importance of education.

The lecturers will hail from different countries; His Grace Bishop David of Krusevac of the Serbian Orthodox Church will speak about “prayerful eduction,” the Jesus Prayer.

Archdeacon Andrei Psarev, professor at HTS in Jordanville, will speak on the history and daily life of the seminary.

Other lectures will include topics such as confession from the point of view of priests, social media that befits a Christian and the Orthodox teaching of the Law of God in German schools.

Some of the lessons taught can be implemented in practice immediately, and participation in daily divine services and fellowship is of great benefit as well.

As is customary, registration is free, though donations are appreciated.
