His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, sent greetings to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine on the occasion of the next anniversary of His Beatitude's enthronement.

Your Beatitude!

Another year has passed of your great and arduous work as the Head of the persecuted Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Another challenging page has been written in the chronicle of Holy Orthodoxy. And many, including us, the episcopate, clergy, and pious flock of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, continue to thank the Great Shepherd for granting you spiritual and physical strength in your advanced years for such important labors. We rejoice that the canonical Church in Ukraine has in you a tireless worker of the Vineyard of Christ, adorning the Church and showcasing to all a fervent heart in the service of God and people.

Therefore, allow me to greet You with Christian love on this festive day of Your Beatitude's enthronement on the throne of the Kiev Metropoliate! May the days and years of Your life be multiplied for new labors for the greater glory of Christ's Church! From the heart, we wish You peace, God's assistance, many blessings and comforts to you, our fellow archpastors, pastors, monastics, and all those gathered here today in great numbers to greet you with love and devotion.
